Pastor's Corner: August 28
Thank you all for your warm welcome as I’ve moved into St. Boniface and St. Lawrence Parishes. I’m feeling quite at home already. Some folks have asked about what things I might change and I often quip back, “Don’t ask and I’ll probably let it alone!” But, I know I crashed into Sunday Masses with a quick change from Apostles’ Creed to Nicene Creed. Both professions of faith reflect our Catholic faith. I opt for the Nicene because I know it (and I sometimes think I’m too old to learn the newest translation of the Apos...

Pastor's Corner: August 21
Time to move? Looking to change? Seeking out new challenges? A few months ago, those ideas weren’t in my head. I was content to be where I was, doing what I was doing. But, the Bishop had other ideas. And so, did the gospel: All summer long the message was clear—travel lightly, take nothing for the journey, don’t let possessions possess you! So here I am, happy to be pastor of St. Boniface and St. Lawrence parishes, happy to continue the journey to which Christ calls us all. Let’s all allow the gospel to challenge and change us. ~Fr. Glenn McCreary

Synod on Synodality Report
For six months people throughout our diocese responded to Pope Francis’ call to the Synod on Synodality by sharing their hopes, concerns and dreams for the Catholic Church. Some participated at listening sessions, and many others through an online survey. Through this participation, many themes began to emerge. Our Diocesan Synthesis Report representing these themes has been submitted to the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, and is also available for general review. To learn more and to review the synthesis report, please visit Synod on Synodalit...

Food for the Soul

Food for the Soul
Recent surveys have shown that few Catholics read the Bible on their own or as a family. But what better place is there to encounter the person of Jesus Christ than in God’s Word? For when we pray with the Bible—personally and in our homes—our encounter with the living Word of God is not a mere intellectual exercise but a spiritually nourishing feast. As we find ways to share God’s Word in our homes w...
