Vacation Bible School (VBS) Donations Needed
 It’s time again for summer VBS, sponsored by St Boniface/St Lawrence, St. Ann, and St. Joseph the Worker. To make VBS affordable for families, we charge a fee that covers only a small portion of the cost of this program. The parishes are responsible for the remaining costs. So, we are asking parishioners to help us by donating some of the items we need to offset those costs. In the back of each church is a poster with items and monetary requests. Are you interested in sharing your faith with teens? We are looking for a few adults to assist with our high school ministry program. We meet two Sunday evenings a month and need two adults in attendance each time. These adults would act as assistant mentors on an “as needed” basis. Come for a taco meal, meet other parish families, and share in the Sacrament of Reconciliation on Wednesday, October 26 at 5:30 p.m. at St. Lawrence Parish Hall.  Students in Grades 7 & 8 are asked to attend with their families, but families with students in grades 3-6 plus and younger siblings are welcome. PREP classes will be held as usual on December 12 & 19. There will be NO PREP on December 26 and January 2. Students in the Confirmation class should be working on service hours. Some ideas include raking leaves, shoveling snow or preparing a meal for someone in need. Service forms can be found in the Confirmation packet you were provided. Closing Day Mass is April 14th at St. Lawrence 9:00 a.m. –  We are very blessed that some of our youth are assisting at this Closing Day Mass as Readers and Altar Servers. We invite parents as well and ask that our youth in Kindergarten and 1st Grade sit as a class up front with their parents. We ask that our youth in 2nd to 8th grade will sit as a class and their parents will sit in pews surrounding them. Also, that our 8th grade class offer to service as greeters and ushers.
