A few years ago, a book came out with the title Nudging Conversions. The author certainly had the verb right! Most of us end up being “nudged” in whatever conversions happen in our lives—embracing the gospel, taking our faith seriously, opening up to the possibilities of vocation. Let’s think about the places in our lives where God might be nudging us to conversion—and the ways we can be his instrument in nudging others. It’s time to start up RCIA again—the process by which we welcome new folks to the Catholic faith. Maybe you’ve come to Mass out of curiosity—is it time to make a decision about joining up? Maybe someone in your life seems to be seeking faith—it is time to nudge with an invitation that now might be the moment?
