During any given month, the YWCA houses up to thirty children, many of whom are infants or toddlers, along with their mothers at the Wise Options Shelter and Liberty House. Last year, our parishes chose to help those most vulnerable small children with a “baby shower” of needed items in honor of the birth of the baby Jesus.
Our parishes are again collecting baby necessities for the YWCA during the Advent weekends of December 3–4, 10–11, and 16–17. Most needed wish list items include: Diapers of all sizes, but especially size 3 and up, baby wipes, baby lotion, baby wash/shampoo, diaper rash cream, baby oil, infant nail clippers and brushes, burp clothes, blankets, and sippy cups. We would ask that you bring your contributions to church on any of these weekends and place them in the baskets provided. Your generosity is greatly appreciated!
"For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me." ~Matthew 25:35
