Parish Center. Rectory. Convent. The building behind St. Lawrence Church has had a host of names and quite a variety of uses throughout the years. This summer that building’s name and use will change yet again. Beginning this summer, the parish will rent that property to St. John Neumann Regional Academy—to be used as a preschool campus. We hope this will be a positive for both the parish and our regional Catholic school. For the school, this means more much-needed room for the growing pre-school program at SJNRA. For the parish, we’ll no longer be paying to keep an empty building running. For the school, it opens opportunities to grow an already important program—and a program that provides a positive first experience with Catholic education. For the parish, we’ll see activity around the property, always a sign that we’re still very much alive with the mission of Jesus Christ. Pray that the transition moves smoothly and that school and parish continue to thrive.
