What is Remind?

What is Remind?  Remind is a free text messaging app that helps organizations, teachers, students, and parents communicate quickly and efficiently. Get information for St Boniface & St Lawrence right on your phone—not on handouts.

It's Fast: Messages are sent in real time to an entire class, a small group, or just a single person. You can also schedule announcements ahead of time and attach photos and other files.

It's Accessible: With Remind, you can send text messages straight to any phone, including flip phones. To reach every family, translate your messages into more than 90 languages before you send.

The Remind App allows an organization to notify its members of:

Service cancellations, volunteering opportunities, outreach activities or extra giving opportunities, music ministry, news, and urgent updates, etc.

***For example: youth ministry, this could help coordinate and communicate with the group while out and about.

Is it Safe?

Remind is a one way text messaging and email system. With Remind, all personal information remains completely confidential. Our organization will never see your phone number, nor will you ever see theirs.

Is Remind Free?

The service is free, but standard messaging rates apply. So, if you do not have unlimited texting on your cell phone's data plan, you might be charged for each text message.

***You can always text @STOP to 81010 as well to block all texts from Remind.

How does Remind work?

First, our organization adds a group, which generates a unique code. @STBparish & @STLparish. The organizer then shares that code with the parish, students or parents. At that point, any parishioner, student or parent who sends a text message with the code will be "subscribed" to our organization's group. Any time we send a message from Remind, all the parishioners, students or parents subscribed will receive it. Using this method, no one knows each other's cell phone number; the organization only sees a name in his/her sign-up list online, not phone numbers.
