THANK YOU for making the 2019 carnival a huge success!! We were finally blessed with great weather for all 3 nights! Our Fabulous Chef and kitchen staff prepared over 700 meals during the 3-day event. The dining room staff met that challenge like a well-oiled machine. Everyone was greeted with a smile and enjoyed delectable desserts prepared by our parishioners. Outside the smell of pierogis, hot sausage, and onions filled the air. The food stand crew fought through long lines and tired feet to provide our patrons with full stomachs. Thank you to everyone that filled the open positions to allow the food stand to run smoothly and that stepped out of their comfort zone to try new things! And, of course our all around “fix it” gas man that made sure all the equipment was up and running nightly. The game stands were equally as busy. Also, thank you to the new families that stepped up to work the stands as well as our “old dependables” that we count on every year.
Our new 50/50 coordinator kept the tradition of preparing a great crew that pounded the pavement to sell those tickets. Because of the creativity of our WONDERFUL parishioners, our bucket stand will net over $4,000!! Thank you to the two extra helpers that came out Tuesday morning. This allowed our evening crew to move forward with additional set up. Our tear down crew was EXCELLENT and allowed us to get ahead Saturday night which made for an early day on Sunday.
Looking ahead our next carnival will be held September 10-12th, 2020. We will need to “beef up” our set up crew on the two Mondays before the carnival. This year it was pretty thin which made for some long nights. We need to also continue to have new help in all areas. Thank you to EVERYONE that helped in any way! Each and every person that filled a bucket, baked desserts, bought raffle tickets or volunteered their time made this carnival a FUN FILLED community event! A breakdown of the carnival profits will be in the bulletin at a later date.
With Sincere Gratitude,
