Based on the true story of Frances Xavier Cabrini, the first US citizen to be canonized. She was dedicated to caring for the poor, the abandoned, the uneducated, and the sick through the creation of schools, hospitals, nursing homes, and orphanages. In 1899, Frances Xavier Cabrini came to the Diocese of Scranton where she established the Cabrini School that served the parish of St. Lucy on a street that was named for her.
